DCX Mic
The Active I/O has turned out to be a very popular modification for the DCX2496 Ultra Drive Pro. This modification however sacrifices the microphone input. It turns out that the auto align feature is missed.
So due to popular demand a microphone input stage has been developed that elegantly leaves the digital input unchanged while at the same turns into a balanced microphone input when instead of an XLR input plug a jack plug is inserted. To avoid metal working a Neutrik Combo connector is used with the same dimensions as the original connector
The microphone amplifier has phantom power suitable to be used with a measurement microphone.
The connection is for a standard 6.3mm stereo “jack” plug. So Tip (+), Ring (-) and Sleeve (Gnd). See the DCX2496 manual for instructions to perform measurements.
