Gerhard MC pre
Joachim Gerhard presented the Flexible Phono Stage (FPS) in vol. 0 of Linear Audio in September 2010. His obsession with phono stages goes back a long way. In the article he describes his journey down the rabbit hole - Adventures in the land of phono stages.
The name FPS comes from the fact that you can arrange the input in in two different ways: High Z and LowZ. The high Z version has the advantage of DC coupling and loading resistor types and values can be changed at will to optimize coupling to the cartridge. The low Z version needs AC capacitor coupling .
If you are looking for a very very good Moving coil preamp do not look further. In terms of low noise, high overload margin and tonal quality it is simply very hard to get a better pre pre amp.

Sound wise the High Z version has very elegant tonality with some measure of warmth and the low Z version has tremendous bass precision with a lot of spectacular raw dynamics. It is up to you!
