Vreg 12V/15V

Due to popular demand Frank Oettle designed an offspring of the well known Vreg 5V board..

The Vreg 12V/15V board is a direct replacement for the standard 7812 and 7815 voltage regulator. However, the following features are way beyond the specification of the ordinary 78xx, making it highly preferable for use in performance-critical audio products.

• Ultra High Power Supply Ripple Rejection (PSRR) over the whole sonical frequency range. Typical 110 dB @ 10Hz to 20 kHz.
• Very low output voltage noise (20 µV).
• The Vreg board has a maximal 250 mA output current without cooling.

The small size 10 x 20 mm (= TO-220) makes it an ideal drop in replacement.
Lower voltages e.g. 9V are on request.

A few remarks have to be made.
Modifying existing equipment will void any original manufacturers warranty.
This kit is not difficult to build and install. If you have reasonable soldering skills and are willing to work accurately, you will have no problems to complete it. Yes, it is an all SMD project, but not to large.
Of course besides all the parts needed it comes with the printed version of the documentation made available by Frank.
